「 Thanksgiving Parade　感謝祭のパレード」

We did it again.
Every year there's a big parade in Manhattan that's televised all over the country.
It's the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade that's sponsored
by the Macy's department store.
It's been an annual event for over a hundred years and a Thanksgiving tradition.
Because it's such a big event, in order to get good views we need to leave
the house by 6 am and save a spot hours before the show.
Last year we took my father and some visitors from out of town
but thought it would be the last time.
But, we had different visitors this year from France and the UK so
we decided to do it once again.
Turns out this year was the coldest Thanksgiving recorded in history.
It was so very cold. But, we got great seats and
 I'm sure the kids will remember it for the rest of their lives.

今年もやりました！
毎年テレビで全国放送される有名なパレードがマンハッタンで行われます。
メイシーズ百貨店がスポンサーするメイシーズ感謝祭パレード（Macy's Thanksgiving Parade)です。
100年以上の歴史を誇り今ではアメリカの感謝祭文化の一環です。
盛大イベントのため良い席を確保するため、
家を午前6時に出てパレードが始まる２時間前から場所取りをします。
去年は私の父親と友達がNYに遊びに来ていたので、人生で初めてパレードに行きました。
楽しかったですが、やりきった感があったので今年は行かない予定だったのですが、
今年は別の友達がフランスとイギリスから来ていたので頑張って行くことにしました。
今年は史上最低気温を記録したとっても寒い感謝祭でした。
寒かったですが、とってもいい席が取れて子供達にとっても思い出深い経験になりました。
