At my daughter's school every year the third grade class performs a musical at the end of the school year. My daughter is in third grade this year and the school is performing "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Roald Dahl is one of my favorite children's book author and I have read many of his books to my children, including "The Twits," "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "The BFG" This year we've read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and watch both the classic 1971 movie and the recent adaptation by director Tim Burton. My daughter played one of the Oompa Loompas, the mysterious characters that work in Willie Wonka's chocolate factory. 娘の学校では毎年5月に3年生がミュージカルを披露することになっています。 娘は今年3年生で彼女の学年は「チャーリーとチョコレート工場」を演じました。 原作の作者ロアルド・ダールは私のもっとも好きな児童作家の一人でもあり、彼の小説は何冊か子供達に読み聞かせています。 「チョコレート工場の秘密」はもちろん、「いじわる夫婦が消えちゃった」、「父さんギツネバンザイ」や「オ・ヤサシ巨人BFG」なども読みました。 映画も見ました。1971年版と最近ではティム・バートン監督も実写版を作られてます。学校の学芸会では娘はチョコレート工場で働くウンパ・ルンパを演じました。
